Como Agua Para Chocolate
"Como Agua Para Chocolate" is the story of forbidden love between Tita and Pedro. Mama Elena knows the score and makes sure Pedro and Tita are never alone anywhere on the ranch. Tita is forced to stay in the kitchen and prepare the family's meals.
This history tells about Tita's love, Pedro Muzquiz, comes to the family's ranch to ask for Tita's hand in marriage. Because Tita is the youngest daughter she is forbidden by a family tradition upheld by her tyrannical mother, Mama Elena, to marry. Pedro marries Tita's oldest sister, Rosaura, instead, but declares to his father that he has only married Rosaura to remain close to Tita.
Rosaura and Pedro are forced to leave for San Antonio, Texas, at the urging of Mama Elena, who suspects a relationship between Tita and Pedro. Rosaura loses her son Roberto and is later made sterile from complications with the birth of her daughter Esperanza.
I personally liked the character of Tita and that in a situation as she lives I probably would do the same.
I also like the recipes that are included in the book and I like to serve as the author makes magic realism in this book because, really, it does very well.
Sometimes I like the fact that Peter is such a coward because, instead of marrying Rosaura and Tita and stay with because he was not proposing to go to live far away, two of them together, and so be saved to suffer so much Tita and others.
I personally really liked this book because it combines very well with magical realism and romanticism in this book the author has been able to make this book really interesting, you read it and taste it very fácill read in other languages or dialects.
